Fees

Commission costs can vary from one brokerage firm to another. For futures and options on futures contracts, the commission is generally a “round-turn” fee, which covers both the entry and exit of a trade.

Below are sample round-turn fees per contract and include both Chicago Mercantile Exchange® (CME) fees and estimated brokerage firm fees. For more information on CME flat fees, click here and for a complete list of CME trading fees, click here.

Example: determine the number of Euro FX futures contracts required to trade the equivalent of one million euro in cash.

1 Euro FX futures contract = 125,000 euros

1,000,000 euros/125,000 per Euro FX contract = 8 contracts
